ALNWICK and YORK

        First off we headed to Northumberland in March again. Stayed 2 nights at Alnwick and 1 at York.

HOME

 

        

Alnwick Castle (Harry Potter fame) is very impressive and parts date from  1096. Harry Hotspur features quite highly. We motored up to Craster and Berwick.

Last year we saw Newport Transporter Bridge, so now it's Middlesborough Transporter bridge which featured in Auf Wiedersehen Pet - huge ! We then visited Whitley Bay - nothing there really and stayed at Premier Inn, Alnwick

                                                                                                                               

 

 

 

                                                                         

 

 

 

     

We travelled over to Holy Island again. The next day on to York. Once again Premier Inn - nice one. Pictured is The Shambles, Emporer Constantine where he was crowned Emporer in 306AD and the home of good old Guy Fawkes, born there in 1570
